Report Hate Crimes and Incidents & Seek Pro Bono Legal Assistance


We strongly encourage you to report any hate crimes or hate/bias-related incidents against Asian Pacific Americans to Stop AAPI hate and your local police department via 911 (further DC info here, MD info here, and VA info here), as well as to your local FBI office and state attorney general's office.  

If you have been the victim of a crime or incident motivated by hate, and are seeking legal assistance, please fill out this Intake Form.  The form will enable you to request pro bono legal resources through the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).  

Toolkits for Combating Hate Crimes


We encourage you to check out the following toolkits that provide critical information for victims of hate crimes and hate/bias-related incidents, community-based organizations, and community leaders and that have been prepared by NAPABA and the Asian & Pacific Islander Health Forum (APIAHF).  The materials are available in English and 25 Asian American, Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander languages.
