Please join us for an opening conversation about racial inequality, police reform, and allyship between the Asian American community and the Black community, with the following panelists:

  • Johnathan Smith: Deputy Secretary for Civil Rights and Workforce, Office of New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
  • Sean Perryman: President of the Fairfax County NAACP, Director of Social Impact Policy and Counsel at the Internet Association
  • Chiraag Bains: Director of Legal Strategies at Demos; former Senior Counsel to the AAG in the Civil Rights Division and co-author of the "Ferguson Report"
  • Roscoe Jones, Jr.: Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and Intermittent Lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School on criminal justice reform policy; and Counsel at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP* (*Admitted only in Maryland; practicing under supervision of Principals of the Firm.)
