Join APABA-DC's Book Club to discuss Yellowface by R.F. Kuang! Yellowface is a satirical thriller about a white woman who achieves literary success by stealing a manuscript from a recently deceased Asian friend and passing it off as her own. It grapples with questions of diversity, racism, and cultural appropriation, as well as exposing the dark side of the publishing industry.
We will discuss the book at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, at Sixty Vines Foggy Bottom (2200 Pennsylvania Avenue NW). First glass of wine is on us! Please RSVP if you'd like to join.
