Please join us for “Photographic Justice (film) – DC Premiere” highlighting photojournalist Corky Lee and the importance of preserving history and sharing our collective narratives.
Lee was a Chinese-American activist, community organizer, photographer, journalist and the self-proclaimed Asian American Photographer Laureate. Inspired to address what he described as the "invisibility" of Asian Americans, Lee documented the lives, celebrations, challenges and presence of Asian Americans in the U.S. over fifty years behind the camera.
APABA-DC is proud to co-sponsor the premier of this film highlighting Lee's life and his work, and pleased to invite you to join us for a very special evening.
This event is open to all APABA-DC Members and the general public. However, inactive APABA-DC Members and the general public must send a request to president@apaba-dc.org for a registration code to register on the website.
